MENDON RIVERFEST

Riverfest kicks off its 21st year on Thursday, August 14th with the Riverfest Idol competition at 5:00 p.m. and the Lip Sync Contest at 7:00 p.m. Extreme Fun & Amusements have been added this year for the children - this includes Moon Walk, Slip & Dip, Rock Mountain, Bungee Run and Boxing Ring to name a few. Pre-sale Bracelets are available at the Village Hall (2 day unlimited rides/extreme adventures for $20.00). Come and enjoy a weekend of entertainment, concessions, karaoke, the teen dance, Las Vegas Night, canoe swamp, canoe race, parade and the Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament..
Oh, and don't forget the fireworks on Saturday night!

The August Primary covers the Township positions of: Supervisor, Clerk, Treasurer and 2 Trustees. The County has positions of: Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff, Clerk, Treasurer, Register of Deeds, Drain Commissioner, Surveyor and County Commissioner. Also on the ballot are: U.S. Senator, State Representative in Congress and State Representative in Legislature.
M-60 Re-Capping
MDOT has currently scheduled August 6th through August 14th for the grinding and recapping of M-60. The construction zone will be from Village Limit East to Village Limit West. One lane traffic will be maintained throughout the construction.
Water Tower Park Playground Equipment
Mendon Council Trustee, Lon Huffman, is looking for volunteers to serve on a committee to review the current equipment and then to discuss plans and purchase of replacement equipment. Anyone interested - the first meeting will be September 11th at 6:30 p.m. at the Village Hall.
