Mendon DDA
The Mendon Downtown Development Authority was established in October 1985 to help with any expansions or upgrades to the downtown district. Since its inception, the DDA has upgraded many areas of the water main, new street lights, put in a road, water and sewer lines in the Industrial park

In 1993, the Mendon Council purchased approximately 82 acres of farm land for the express purpose of establishing an Industrial Park. T H Plastics purchased 5 acres for expansion. Byron Dell established an automotive repair shop in 2001. With a grant from the State, Mendon Parkway was put in with along with water and sewer facilities. In 2006, Steve Kline and Tim Howard purchased property and established Closer to Investments. WLC Company purchased 3 acres in the North East section for a cell tower.

August 2008
Over the last two years the Mendon DDA has been putting in new water main and a new water plant in the Industrial Park. The DDA received a CDBG to help finance a portion of this project. The project involved watermain upgrades to serve the needs of IAC, iron filtration system improvements and a a new deep well. The project is currently in the last stages of completion at this time.
